Ingredients
(semolina and whole wheat)Elbow macaroni - 2 cup
Butter - 1/4 cup
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
salt - according to taste
Pepper - 1tsp
Garlic cloves (medium) - 5-7
Cheese (of your choice) - 1/4 cup
Milk - 3 cup
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Water - for boiling
Mac and cheese is a very widely loved cheesy and creamy recepie. I have used semolina and wholewheat macaroni which is healthier than the authentic all purpose flour pasta. I have also added a twist of burnt garlic which adds to the taste.
Preparation -
macaroni - take drinking water and add salt and oil while the water boils , add the macaroni in boiling water. After the macaroni is al- dante turn off the flame, strain it in a strainer and wash the macaroni in cold water thoroughly (this will avoid the macaroni from sticking together) . Keep it aside.
garlic cloves - Peel garlic cloves and mince them properly.
cheese - grate cheese cubes (of your choice).
Lets Cook
Pour in the oil in pan let it heat and add butter.
When we see butter splattering add in flour and whisk it well .
Once the flour turns light brown add in milk gradually and keep whisking while adding milk .
One the mixture is smooth, add in salt , pepper, and cheese.
Mix it well and turn off the flame.
Now add preboiled macaroni and mix it well.
Burnt Garlic
Take a pan and put in butter. when it starts bubbling add in minced garlic and let it turn light brown (u can burn it according to your choice).
At the end garnish your macaroni with burnt garlic.
Your Semolina and wheat macaroni with white sauce is ready.
Serve it hot for breakfast or enjoy the rainy season with hot mac with white sauce.
